Have choice and take control
The Club meets once a fortnight on Wednesday afternoon and is entirely run and financed by the members. The meetings usually involve tea/coffee and a chat, a short business meeting followed by a game of bingo. They will also involve other activities at various times, like guest speakers and buffets. Part of the business meetings will be given over to planning trips and possibly visits to shows. Trips to places like Gloucester, Swansea and Ross-on-Wye occur once a month in spring, summer and autumn. Winter activities include a Christmas shopping trip, Christmas Dinner and more buffets. The Club has its own Facebook group which is used to update members on developments. The 55 Club is affiliated to the national organisation Active Wales. This organisation now has two Facebook groups: Active Wales News and Active Wales Members.
